To achieve this, it was necessary to detect when the player missed a note. Initial attempts involved using Tensor Flow AI to detect the game state from the screen, but it was unreliable. When the player misses a note, a certain section of memory changes, and a script reads the change in game state. As you might expect, the documentation for this project includes a video which involves plenty of gratuitous electric shocks when [Lightwing] makes mistakes.
Generally, a powerful shock ends with screams a dropped guitar, and too much fear to continue. Streaming data processing library. Tutorial for using hoauth2 Published on T The Roland CM is a digital synthesizer sound module released in that combines two incredibly powerful engines into one unit. However, in enthusiasts of the Roland MT one of the engines that went into the CM noticed a difference between the vibrato rate on the MT and the CM, rendering it less useful as now midi files would need to be adjusted before they sounded correct.
Now thirty-something years later, there is a fix through the efforts of [Sergey Mikayev] and a fantastic writeup by [Cloudschatze]. That led the community to start comparing the differences between the two systems.
One noticeable difference was the change from an Intel to an 80C In theory, the latter is a superset of the former, but there are a few differences. First, the crystal frequency is divided by three rather than two, which means the period of the LFO would change even if the crystal stayed the same.
However, this is just setting the serial baud rate divisor, which requires changing a few bytes. The forum post has comparison audio files for your enjoyment. First infusion has a bbq smoky taste with a pasty returning sweetness.
There is lots of smoky car with a pasty not quite returning sweetness. Nice full pasty sticky mouthfeeling. Old School factory feeling. Alerting energy. Wet leaves in the pot have a peaty semi-aged odour. Seems like Maylasian storage to me. The second infusion is left to cool and has a BBQ mesquite onset with a creamy sweet emergence. There is a delicious pasty strawberry sweetness that comes out underneath the BBQ taste.
Nice pasty mouthfeeling. With a lingering creamy pasty sweetness. Almost pastry like sweetness. It really lingers for minutes. Not much throat feeling but a faint lingering cooling with sweet pastry sweetness over a faint BBQ. The third infusion is left to cool and gives off a smoky BBQ onset with a sweet creamy pasty taste.
The balance of smoky BBQ Mesquite and creamy pasty sweetness is nice. Also nice pasty mouthfeeling with only the faintest throat stimulation. Nice enlivening Qi. The fourth infusion has a smooth creamy almost woody incense sweetness.
There is a smokiness to it but it is overall smooth a bit woody not really strawberry fruity. The mouthfeeling is getting less pasty and more puckering. The smoke as well as a woody sweetness lingers in the mouth. Almost dirt like woodiness that reminds me of Malaysian storage. Woody sweet creamy almost cherry sweet but layered fallen woody base. The creamy sweet taste hold throughout. Faint cooling on the breath and a full almost sandy pasty pucker mouthfeeling.
Nice moderate energetic feeling. Nice mild energy. Lots more woody and smoke tastes here. The sweet tastes is lessening as the session progresses. Nice mild energy bump. Some creamy sweetness glances below the woody gripping smoke.
Nice energy feeling also a bit relaxing at the same time. Thin puckering coating on the tongue. Mild energy. I put the rest into mug steeping and it gives off woody sweet smoke.
Soothing rich even a touch puckering dry. Guess: Malaysian Stored factory production from Tastes a lot like the Nanqiao Double Lions.
However, [Dark Skies] in the video you can see below argues that the Stipa-Caproni was the direct predecessor of the turbofan engine. Either way, it is an interesting and unique part of aviation history. The plane was built in the days when inventors were experimenting with many different ways to improve aircraft utility and performance.
The kg vehicle had a wingspan of just over 14 meters and was a bit more than 6 meters long. It could reach about 72 knots and climb to over 3 km. Caproni was known for making odd planes, including one with nine wings. It had both positive and negative features. The plane was quiet and stable. But it was difficult to take off and land and suffered from drag problems.
While there was great interest in the design, but no more planes using the principles in the aircraft were built. However, the Kort nozzle , is a very similar idea used in some maritime applications. As frequent Bazel rule writers, at Tweag we need ways to test our rulesets. All software needs to be tested and verified, and Bazel rules are no exception. Some of them are popular public libraries with a lot of projects depending on them, and they need a proper test set to allow every contributor, frequent or occasional, to propose a change with little risk of breaking the public API those rules represents.
The same applies to the rules that live in huge monorepos growing every day, where they often act as a glue between different components and can become complex, tricky and fragile. Also every Bazel rule introduces an API and a proper test-suite provides a clear and valid example of its usage. There are some serious flaws in this approach:. There are several projects addressing this problem.
I will concentrate on the two I draw inspiration from. It consists of a Starlark macro and a Go library with some helper functions to set up a test workspace and run Bazel commands inside it.
This allows writing test scenarios in the form of a Go program. Every Bazel rule requires its sources to be declared explicitly. We need to define our test workspace. To answer this question we need to understand some aspects of how Bazel does caching. For the following build executions this toolchain would be reused from the cache and the overall build time significantly smaller.
So it will do fetching and configuration of the same toolchain every time, which would take a lot of time and disk space. This will make Bazel reuse the same build cache between tests and significantly improve tests performance. This approach of choosing a fixed directory weakens hermeticity, because tests are sharing some context between each other which makes them less deterministic.
Also it makes it impossible to run such tests in parallel, so they have to use the exclusive tag. There is a project created specifically for the purpose of testing Bazel rules and was recently added into the bazel-contrib organization.
With this ruleset we can rewrite our test in a clearer and more straightforward manner. We can create a directory somewhere inside our project that looks like this:.
I find the former much clearer and easy to read and understand. In addition it provides clear and valid example of rules usage which the ruleset can refer to in its documentation. For our tests we should be able to pick the proper configuration automatically depending on the system this test is ran on.
Otherwise every test would require huge amount of time and disk space. So it would be very convenient if this new test rule would allow us to reuse these test scenarios. Here is an example of how it looks like:. We can implement the same approach and create a Haskell library for testing with a similar test setup procedure.
It will find a specific place and set up a test workspace in it, while also providing functions to invoke Bazel with the proper configuration. For example they could look something like this:. There is still one unsolved problem from mixing these two approaches.
In order to solve this, we will create a separate directory for every Bazel binary we are using for testing. We need to communicate to the test suite which Bazel version we are going to use for a specific test, so that it can prepare a proper directory for this test.
With all the optimizations the average test duration is about seconds. If you want to see the complete implementation you can find it in this PR , and some instructions on how to use it here.
I hope you can borrow from our experience to test your rules, and that together we will find a way to have a simple, clean and safe process of developing Bazel rules. Stay tuned for more content for rule writers!
If you are reading the Lightburn forums, you probably already have a laser cutter of some kind. Like most of these cheap engravers, the machine takes a proprietary controller with Windows-only software.
No surprise that [Dkj4linux] would want to use…um… Linux. The answer? Rip the board out and replace it with an old spare.
The machine looks well constructed, as you can see in the video below. For that price, you get a 3-watt laser head that is likely way less than that in terms of optical power , and a build area of xmm.
The controller was in a small metal enclosure, and it was easy to simply unplug the two axis and the laser control cable. But it looks like it does a credible job of engraving and it probably can cut some materials with some patience. Of course, you can also make your own frame, add a few stepper motors and just buy a laser module. Or do a more advanced build. But if you wanted to try a laser without a big investment, something like this could be just the ticket.
For the past nineteen years, October has been Cybersecurity Awareness Month here in the US, and that event that has always been part advice and part ridicule.
But the memes can be funny. Small stronger compressed dry leaves have a faint sour fruity almost woody sweetness to them. First infusion has a watery woody onset with barely sweet grains and woody finish.
It has an almost lingering faint sweetness. Second infusion has a smooth oily slightly fruity approach over woody layers. The mouthfeeling is a bit puckering and saliva producing. Very clear profile of tastes. Lingering dry wood and long faint fruity cooling. Tastes like a Yiwu to me. The wet leaves smell of cherry and dry woody odours. Neck releasing bodyfeeling and deeper level relaxing.
Dragon Tea House? Third infusion was left to cool and has a sweet expanding caramel sweetness that expands and induces salivation. Clear gushu Yiwu profile. Nice long sweet deep in the open throat caramel with faint whimsical cooling. Around 10 year puerh with drier storage. Nice spacy feeling with relaxing neck Qi and bodyfeeling. Fourth infusion has a caramel fruity oily sweetness with a woody base taste to it.
The clear profile of taste is really nice and so is the beautiful bodyfeeling- a subtle opening of the neck and shoulders. Nice full thin mouthfeeling with a mild back of mouth stimulation enough for a nice oily saliva producing.
The subtle coolness overlaps the caramel sweet finish. The mouthfeel is full but gentle and bodyfeelng and Qi has a very peaceful and tranquil effect overall. Gushu Yiwu feeling feels sort of like Bi Yun hao? Has the Qi of a Gua Feng Zhai. The 5 th has a creamy caramel sweetness that is really pure and sweet fluffy deliciousness. There is an oily thin full mouthfeeling that holds the simple delicious single estate tastes in nicely.
Nice saliva producing and mid-throat opening. Long deep relaxing with spaced out feeling and wave like bodyfeelings- warming face and opening neck feeling.
Spaciness builds in the mind. The 6 th infusion has a candy-like caramel almost strawberry-cherry subtle sweet pop. The tastes are really pure and clear. Then comes a long faint coolness that is almost camphor and woody but long creamy cool caramel taste to it. Spaced out feeling. Neck body feeling. There is very subtle candy and even spice edge to it.
The cooling reaches deeper into the throat. Spacy relaxing. Open neck bodyfeeling. The cool cup is woody with a long cooling deep candy almost papery woody bark taste in the mid throat.
The full coating of thin mouthfeel is becoming slightly drier but not really dry still some saliva producing but not as much. There is faint complex edges of coco and almost cherry. The mouthfeel remains all covering but thin yet still present with an almost mossy feeling. The cooled down cup was more caramel but also more papery tasting.
Has a Chawangshu vibe to it. Very spaced out strong Qi in the mind with a subtle neck thing going on. The papery woody bark taste is becoming the most prominent as the mouthfeeling becomes a bit more gripping. There is a deeply relaxing and especially spaced out feeling. There is almost some fruitiness that comes out in the aftertaste with caramel and paper woody.
The mouthfeel is still full covering the mouth and there is a woody papery finish. Nicely spaced out in this stronger Qi. I do a 13 th infusion and is much the same as the 12 th with a bit more woody paper almost dryness. I overnight thermos the spent leaves and it comes out a bit bitter and with a full dry coating.
There are edges of coco and then finishes a faint caramel almost fruity but mainly a woody papery with some breath coolness. Overall impressed by the stamina. A solid full chalky dry mouthfeel keeps things going for sure. Strong spaced out feeling with neck bodyfeeling. The three-year mortgage rate was 2. Today the 3-year rate is 5. Who can afford that?
